This isn’t just a story about spice. It’s a story of harvests, mountains, unpredictable rains, and hardworking hands.

To get to Hot Ones, our bottles traveled muddy roads, warehouses, borders, and pandemics.

The first time we appeared was during global chaos: 2020. While half the planet was in lockdown, a bottle of PierdeAlmas crossed the hemisphere to make the brave break a sweat.

The second time was in January of last year. It was no longer a coincidence. This time, it was MataSanos—the fiercest of them all—that returned to the set with the flavor of Costa Rica.

We hadn’t told this story properly before. We hadn’t shown what it truly means for a pepper grown across the country, in a recipe born from a mad kitchen, to reach one of the most-watched shows on the planet.
